The British Association of Removers is the largest established & most recognised Trade Association for the removals industry in the United Kingdom. It was formed in 1900 and today represents leading removals and storage companies throughout Great Britain and the rest of Europe. Members are inspected to ensure that they are operationally and financially sound and must also follow good practice guidelines, which include:
- The use of approved contract conditions
- A BAR conciliation service in the event of a dispute
- An independent arbitration service
- Making a domestic emergency guarantee available to customers

- Observing the BAR Code of Practice
